I enjoy supporting the students and faculty by teaching them the skills they need to be successful researchers. I have co-taught a graduate course in the College of Health Science. As well as co-teaching a faculty development course to physicians in pediatrics and internal medicine. I have taught instruction on a variety of topics including systematic reviews, open access publishing, searching biomedical literature and mobile apps, clinical nutrition, psychology, and the list goes on. I am continually challenged by the research produced at Rush University.<\/p>\n<p>I have created LibGuides, YouTube tutorials, and other video tutorials to support researchers including distance learners.<\/p>\n<p>Instruction beyond the classroom is very important to me. When I worked at Wright College I created video tutorials, online guides, and print guides to assist students with their research. I taught in the <a title=\"Library Technical Assistant Program\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ccc.edu\/colleges\/wright\/departments\/Pages\/Library-Technical-Assistant.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Library Technical Assistant program<\/a> at Wright College which awards a Basic Certificate and Associates Degree.<\/p>\n<p>Courses taught at Wilbur Wright College:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>LIB TEC 101: Introduction to Library Procedures<\/li>\n<li>LIB TEC 125: Learning Resources\/Library Practicum<\/li>\n<li>LIB TEC 201: Library Public Service<\/li>\n<li>LIB TEC 203: Library Preparation and Materials<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I incorporated the following in my bibliographic instruction:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Active learning strategies<\/li>\n<li>Classroom assessment techniques<\/li>\n<li>Technology via the internet and available computer software such as PowerPoint<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Teaching and instruction are my primary responsibilities at Rush University Medical Center.
